Questions parents ask before they book

Children between 18 months and 4 years old are seen within 48 hours of that first call, with no wait list. Older children, up to age 17, are also seen, usually with a short wait depending on our schedule that week.

No. You can call us directly and start the process yourself. If you already have a referral or prior records, bringing them helps, but it’s not required.

We evaluate and treat children from 18 months to 17 years old. Priority scheduling and our no-wait-list guarantee apply to ages 18 months to 4 years, the range where early intervention tends to help the most.

A trained clinician conducts a play-based ADOS-2 evaluation, walks through a structured developmental history with you, and observes your child directly. Most evaluations take 2 to 3 hours, sometimes split across two visits.

We schedule a follow-up conversation to walk through initial results soon after the evaluation, with a full written report typically ready within about two weeks.

We’ll tell you plainly. If something else seems to be going on, we’ll help point you toward the right kind of specialist instead of leaving you without direction.

We work with most major insurance plans. Our intake team checks your specific benefits before your first visit so you know what to expect financially, and we can also discuss self-pay options.

Not as a primary insurance. We can bill Medicaid as secondary coverage when your child has an active primary plan, such as a PPO through an employer. If you are not sure how your coverage is set up, call (817) 538-3649 and intake will check it for you.

It means our therapy plans draw on applied behavior analysis, a well-researched approach to building communication, social, and daily living skills. We adapt it to each child’s specific goals rather than running one standard program for everyone.

Yes. Parent coaching sessions often include conversations about how a diagnosis affects brothers and sisters, and we’re glad to talk through sibling questions directly.

We can help you prepare for those meetings, including what documentation to bring and what questions to ask, so you walk in with a plan.

Any prior evaluations, IEP or 504 documents, and a list of what you’ve noticed at home. If you’re not sure what counts, bring what you have and our team will sort through it with you.

Never for children 18 months to 4 years old. For older children, up to age 17, there can occasionally be a short wait depending on scheduling that week, but we’ll always tell you the real timeline instead of a vague “we’ll call you back.”
